The first annual Wagner College Holocaust Education & Programming Center's Egon J. Salmon and Family, Commemoration of Kristallnacht and of the S.S. St. Louis event honors the courage and resourcefulness of Egon and his parents, Paul and Erna Salmon, which enabled their families to survive. Egon J. Salmon was an eyewitness to Kristallnacht, a passenger on the ill-fated S.S. St.Louis, and served with distinction in the U.S. Military during World War II. His father Paul was also arrested by the Gestapo on Kristallnacht and sent to Dachau.
