The Office of Institutional Advancement at Wagner College values your privacy and strives to protect the privacy of students, alumni donors and friends of the College.
The Office of Alumni Relations, in cooperation with the Office of Institutional Advancement, maintains a database of biographical information about alumni and friends. The information maintained includes:
• Name, address, phone numbers and e-mail addresses for both home and business
• Degree information conferred by Wagner College
• Information about gifts to Wagner
• Miscellaneous notes on professional achievements, awards received event registration etc.
Use and Sharing of Information
The Office of Institutional Advancement is committed to ensuring your privacy. The release of information for political fundraising purposes is prohibited. Personal information may be released if required to do so by law, College policy, or contractual obligation. Under very limited circumstances, information may be shared with individuals or companies outside of Wagner College to support the mission and purpose of Wagner College and the Wagner College Alumni Association.
Through the alumni affinity program, the Wagner College Alumni Association partners with outside vendors to offer valuable services and benefits to alumni, such as an alumni travel program or insurance program. In such instances, the vendor must agree to use the information only for purposes approved by Wagner College, and the sale or transfer of the information is strictly prohibited. Information provided to the vendor is limited to the basic information needed to contact alumni for the designated purpose of the service/program. Alumni have the option to opt-out of all communications from outside vendors.
If you make a gift or register for an event online using your credit card, this information is stored in our secure database so that we have a record of your gift/event registration history, and for issuing a receipt of your transaction. A gift or event registration is processed electronically by a secure credit card processing service and information transmitted is protected using Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL encryption). Gifts made to Wagner College are shared in aggregate for reporting purposes, such as to the Council for the Support and Advancement of Education, Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report. Annually Wagner College releases its Annual Report listing the names of all donors for the past fiscal year. Donors have the option to make their gift anonymously. Event registrants have the option to not list their name in the list of attendees for a particular event.
Basic information, such as name, class year, degree, city, state, e-mail and phone are displayed in your online alumni profile. This information can be displayed or hidden at your discretion. Access to any personal information you choose to disclose to the Office of Institutional Advancement through its website is restricted in our offices. Only employees who have a legitimate College business purpose to use personally identifiable information is granted access.
When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of a cookie. Cookies allow us to tailor our website to better match your interests and preferences. Registration with Wagner Connect
In order to access certain secure parts of Wagner Connect, the online alumni community, and to further personalize your experience online, you are required to complete the registration process for Wagner Connect. Registration is limited to Wagner alumni only, and is a one-time process. Registration requests require the submission of first name, last name and a unique alumni ID number. Upon submission of your request to create an account for Wagner Connect, you will be verified within 72-hours before you can access the secured area of the online alumni community. You will never be asked by a Wagner employee for your password to Wagner Connect. Wagner Connect has an automatic username recovery and password reset feature. You may cancel or opt-out of Wagner Connect at any time by writing to Wagner College, Office of Alumni Relations, One Campus Road-Reynolds House, Staten Island, NY 10301.
On occasions, photos will be taken at various alumni or Wagner College events and used for future marketing purposes to support and promote the mission and purpose of Wagner College and the Alumni Association. All photos are the property of Wagner College and the use of these photos are restricted to Wagner College. By registering to attend an event hosted by Wagner College or the Alumni Association, the individual agrees to the use of their photo for future Wagner College marketing purposes.
Individuals may choose to opt-out of all, or some of the electronic communications received by Wagner College and the Wagner College Alumni Association. E-mail preferences are available through your personalized online alumni profile in Wagner Connect. Furthermore, alumni may opt-out entirely from displaying their profile in Wagner Connect by contacting the Office of Alumni Relations.
