HEROINES OF THE HOLOCAUST: New Frameworks of Resistance
June 15-16, 2022.
We proudly announce a ground-breaking international symposium, bringing together scholars, authors, film makers, Holocaust survivors, human rights activists and educators. This will be the first conference in the United States dedicated to female rescuers and resisters, creating a new narrative of courageous women's voices in genocide. Teachers will carry these lessons back to their classrooms for transformative learning, empowering a new generation to stand up against anti-semitism, racism and hatred in all its forms.
Keynote Speaker: Judy Batalion, The Light of Days: The Untold Story of Women Resistance Fighters in Hitler's Ghettos. Optioned by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Partners, this book is forthcoming by HarperCollins.
